What students say...
Mary F "Jill appears to start from a position of believing 'you can do it'. With subtle skill, encouragement and lots of humour she gets you there."

Brenda G "Jill's classes were great for all standards of art. Loved to sketch, paint in various media. Very motivational! Learned so much and rekindled my passion for art from school days."

David H "Having joined the art class as a 'beginner', Jill quickly determined any inherent capability with advice to expand on that, and with her rewarding encouragement, taking one through the various media of drawing and painting - a great confidence booster. I always looked forward to the weekly class, which Jill always engendered a warm friendly, inclusive atmosphere. A gem of a teacher for anyone lucky enough to attend her classes."

Sue M "I joined the class with trepidation because of my lack of talent. However there were, in my opinion excellent artists in the group. I learned a lot and grew in confidence and without embarrassment. The classes were very friendly and Jill handled every person kindly and professionally. A really good art teacher!"

Jill G "Jill's lessons created a lovely sharing and caring atmosphere. The focus on drawing ensured that we looked carefully and understood pencil work. The use of grids for portraits was excellent and speed drawing in both pencil and charcoal gave us all confidence in line use".

Tracy F "Our classes became a little community and during Covid 19 we carried on remotely and since Jill moved to pastures new we have carried on with this. Jill's lessons were both affordable and I certainly felt comfortable - having done other art classes in the past where I felt 'not good enough'. Jill didn't make me feel like this and we tried all sorts of styles and used different mediums and looked forward to our lessons each week. If you fancy learning new skills and trying out different methods then Jill's lessons are for you."

Jenny L "I felt very comfortable as not even an amateur artist - gained confidence in a very friendly environment. I know that a new group will benefit from the skill and time that Jill gives to her students. Many thanks Jill."

Steve N "I learnt more in Jill's class than on any other course that I have been on."

Amy W "Classes with you were so much fun and you learn so much. And couldn't ask for a better teacher. Jill is the best."
