how to commission Jill

Commissioning a piece of art should be an enjoyable and collaborative experience. The process is simple

    Make contact below
Jill will email you and find out what you have in mind eg size, whether a painting or drawing and what the subject might be. Usually at this stage a telephone call is very useful to discuss options and ideas
From this you will be given the price, for example an oil starts at £550 and a drawing at £250
Jill will give you a timeframe when you can expect your completed piece
If you are happy to proceed, a deposit will be taken and everything confirmed in writing. Full payment is made on delivery
For portrait commissions, you can visit Jill's studio or she may come to you, where sketches and photographs will take place
For non-portraits the initial conversation will decide how we will proceed, possibly from photographs sent to Jill or from a visit
Jill will keep you informed with photographs and emails on how the commission is proceeding, which gives you a chance to give input - or you can visit the studio. Some portraits may require an additional sitting
When completed you can collect your piece, or it can be delivered, either by Jill or courier depending on what is practical

If you make contact, you are not committed to proceeding. Examples of commissions are portraits, replicating old loved photographs, animals, hairstyles - just look at the pieces on the site for inspiration
